About me
Sophia started her second career as a food entrepreneur in 2012.
Her brother had long held that there was a business to be had in the salad dressing their mother had served them every night growing up and that she’d been making for her own family for over fifteen years. Discouraged by what she saw in the salad dressing aisle, Sophia decided to put her brother’s theory to the test.
She began by sharing her dressings with friends — who then shared it with their friends — and was soon running a cottage industry, delivering jars of salad dressing around the neighborhood. Her local Whole Foods Market learned of her dressing and asked if they could put it in one of their stores.
