About me
Islindy Merius is a dynamic leader with a wealth of experience spanning venture capital, corporate law, and business development across multiple global markets. She is an Operating Partner at Passbook Ventures, a venture capital firm dedicated to supporting early-stage founders from immigrant and diverse backgrounds. At Passbook, she plays a pivotal role in incubating companies such as Nandi Labs, a Web3 marketplace for Black and African art creators, and En Garde Media, an international media company.
Islindy’s academic journey is as diverse as her professional expertise. She holds an undergraduate degree from Bryant University, a Juris Doctor from Roger Williams University School of Law, and an MBA from The George Washington University School of Business. She further enriched her global perspective by completing her MBA studies at the University of Cape Town, Africa’s top-ranked university. Along the way, she gained invaluable experience working in corporate law in Silicon Valley and consulting international companies in Dubai, alongside leading business initiatives for major corporations like Microsoft.
In addition to her legal and business acumen, Islindy has been instrumental in launching startups across Africa and fostering innovative ventures. She has received multiple awards, including three honors from the DC Chapter of the National Black MBA Association, and is fluent in French, Spanish, and Haitian Creole. Her passion for entrepreneurship, combined with her extensive cross-disciplinary background, positions her as a highly sought-after advisor and leader within the venture capital ecosystem.
