Robert Wines serves as an Associate II at FedTech, a company that accelerates the development and deployment of technologies generated in federal laboratories. As an Associate, Robert manages the company's relationship with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), the Army Research Lab (ARL), in addition to programs with the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and Brookhaven National Lab (BNL). With DHS, Robert oversees the Homeland Security Startup Studio, where aspiring entrepreneurs are paired with technologies generated in federal labs in order to launch a startup. To date, the studio has produced 20 companies. Robert continues to work with the alumni companies to drive results and generate impact on the market. With ARL, Robert runs Mission:Transition, a suite of programs that seeks to develop a culture of innovation in the lab by equipping researchers with the tools and skills to drive the transition of their solutions. Robert is a native of Long Island, New York. He graduated from American University in 2020 with a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies: Communications, Legal Institutions, Economics, and Government (CLEG) with a minor in Entrepreneurship.
